Manhunt Over For Psychic Who Scammed More than $120,000 From Victim
We reported on this earlier this week, read the article here.
Cathy Johnson, the fraudulent “psychic” who was being searched for by the Upper Saddle River police, was found today and arrested. She was wanted for a scheme she pulled on a victim that bilked over $120,000 from her.
Police put her picture out everywhere and were asking everyone to keep an eye out for her and call them if they see her; this seems to have paid off. Someone who saw her called the police and they arrested her on the spot. She was in Hackensack on Main Street when Detective Sgt. Michael Antista arrested her. She is currently at the jail being processed.
Police had been on the hunt for her for more than a week after the victim of her scam tipped them off about her. Her accomplices were arrested over a week ago for their involvement in the scam.
Authorities are still asking that anyone who believes they have been scammed by Johnson and/or her accomplices please call the Upper Saddle River Police Department Detective Bureau at (201) 327-2700, as they are trying to build a case against her.
