‘Psychic’ Bus Driver Fired For Leaving Schoolchildren On The Road Because Of A Bad Premonition He Had
Dundee, Scotland- A school bus driver who considers himself psychic has been terminated from his job for not picking up the schoolchildren due to a “premonition” he had that something bad was going to happen.
The schoolchildren were left waiting on the side of the road in Dundee thanks to the supposed psychic driver- who is being kept unnamed for the time being.
The driver may have seen something bad happening in the future, but unfortunately he was unable to see what would happen with his career after this incident. Last week he was confronted by all of his supervisors at National Express.
They grilled him as to what happened that day and he told them about how he had a psychic premonition, which caused him to leave the children on the side of the road instead of picking them up. He was quickly fired after that.
The driver kept insisting that he did not want to leave the children there, but that he felt he had to because his sixth sense told him that “something bad would happen” if he picked them up.
When interviewed by a local paper, he told them that he had plans to fight the dismissal.
Steve Hunter, Dundee Council’s education chief councilor, however felt that the bus company made the right decision and commended them for their tough stance on this issue.
“It’s good National Express has taken action and I’m sure they would be concerned too about kids not being picked up,” he said.
“I can’t comment on what’s happened to the bus driver. It’s important for kids to be able to get to school on time. If the bus doesn’t stop then that’s something that worries me,” he added.
The bus driver does however have someone on his side, a spiritual medium named Ewan Irvine. He has made public statements defending him, believing that it is “entirely possible he experienced a premonition”.
Irvine, who is employed by the Arthur Conan Doyle Centre in Edinburgh as a spirit medium has been quoted as saying; “Although I don’t know much about the case itself, it is entirely possible that the man had a psychic sense something bad was going to happen. Speaking from personal experience, I know that when I get that weird, edgy feeling, I normally listen to it because it means something is going to happen, whether it be good or bad. Rather be safe than sorry.”
A spokeswoman for National Express Dundee, who employs 360 people and has 130 coaches, said; “We don’t discuss conversations with individual members of staff” when asked for a comment.
